Online SCRIP Store Information
SCRIP NEWS
You may already be ordering the VISA gift cards through our scrip program.  If not, they are a great way to make purchases at places like Target and McDonalds, and other places that don't accept traditional scrip, especially SCEGA gymnastics.  However, please remember that when you do make a purchase with a VISA gift card, you must also follow the "Terms and Conditions" carefully that you received with the card.  They are different than how we use other scrip cards.  Additionally, if you give a VISA card as a gift, make sure you include the "Terms and Conditions" with the gift.  If you have any questions, I would be happy to respond.

GLSC Lowe's

Lowe's "Building Up To The Holidays" Giveaway
Your Non-Profit Organization Could Win a $1,000 Donation!

Beginning October 17, 2009, through November 13, 2009, Lowe's will give Great Lakes Scrip Center client organizations a chance to win a $1,000, $500 or $250 donation!  The Lowe's "Building Up To The Holidays" Giveaway will reward three lucky non-profit organizations for their purchases and reloads of Lowe's Gift Cards.

Every $25 Lowe's gift card (or equivalent) purchased during this period will give your organization one entry in the drawing pool.  Buy one Lowe's $25 gift card - get one entry...buy one Lowe's $100 gift card - get four entries....reload a Lowe's gift card with $200 - get eight entries!  The more Lowe's Gift Cards your organization purchases or reloads, through November 13th, the better your organization's chances of winning.

Winners will be chosen on or before November 23, 2009, and notified by phone.  GLSC will randomly select three winners in a drawing from participating organizations who purchased or reloaded Lowe's Gift Cards through GLSC.  The winning organizations will be presented a check for $1,000 - First Prize; $500 - Second Prize; and $250 - Third Prize.

All GLSC customers who purchase or reload Lowe's Gift Cards during the incentive program period are automatically included in the promotion.  Other terms and conditions are as follows:

  • Only GLSC client non-profit organizations are eligible to win - individuals are not eligible.
  • The winners will be determined by a random drawing of all Lowe's Gift Card serial numbers that were shipped to our organizations, from GLSC, or reloaded, between the dates of October 17, 2009 and November 13, 2009.  Every $25 spent on Lowe's Gift Cards during this period will equate to one entry in the drawing pool.
  • The winning organizations will be notified by November 23, 2009, and the checks will be issued to the non-profits as a donation to be used, as needed, by the organization.
  • Great Lakes Scrip Center employees, suppliers and their families are not eligible to win.

Starting Immediately,
Your SCRIP orders can be picked
up in the viewing room on the following days:

Wednesdays 6-7 pm (NEW day and time)
Thursdays 3:45 to 5 pm (same as before)

Online SCRIP program news:

Please remember to get your SCRIP orders in before 8 pm on Sunday evenings, for Wednesday & Thursday delivery.

Several people have asked questions about the rebates.  To get a list of the rebates offered by the ShopWithScrip.com system, click on ‘shop’ at the top of the page (above the family dashboard) and then click on ‘alphabetically by category’ in the bottom right hand corner, under ‘print a list’.   This will give you a list of participating retailers and their rebates. Please remember that TVGA retains 1%. Most rebates are equal or greater than they were in the past, even with the 1% TVGA retention.

We’ve had many comments that the ShopWithScrip.com system is easy to use.  If you haven’t enrolled yet, just log on to ShopWithScrip.com, look for the orange box, click on ‘not a member’ and follow the instructions.  Please contact me for the TVGA enrollment code. Enter your gymnast’s name under ‘student’.  Then sign up for Presto-Pay (takes a few days for bank setup).  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask me.

- Michelle Nalaboff (SCRIP coordinator, MamaofEnS@yahoo.com)

Dear TVGA members,

Getting Started

Before you can order SCRIP, you need to be enrolled and have set up Presto-Pay.  An email concerning this was sent out a few weeks ago.  Information on how to do this can also be found in the user guide (see below). Please allow 2-3 business days to set up Presto-Pay.

Please contact me for the
TVGA enrollment code. Under ‘student name’,  please enter
your gymnast’s first and last name so that your SCRIP purchase is credited to the
correct TVGA account.

User Guide

When you log on to www.shopwithscrip.com, you will see the Family Dashboard. On the left side of this page
is a list of functions, one of which is the user guide.  This guide provides detailed information about the entire process.  If you are experienced with internet shopping and are comfortable with computers, you probably won’t need this guide.

Payment

When you have finished shopping, click the Checkout button to review your shopping cart.   Verify the denomination and quantity of each SCRIP item.

The next step is to choose your form of payment.  You must choose the Presto-Pay option.  A small convenience fee of 39 cents will be debited from your checking account in addition to the face value
amount of your order.

We will not accept payment by check or cash.  If you accidentally choose the payment by check option, I will contact you.  Unfortunately I also have to delete your order and you will have to re-enter it.

If your payment is rejected for any reason, TVGA will be charged for the value of your order plus a bank charge of $30.  In addition, you will be charged $10 to cover TVGA handling fees.  You will not receive your SCRIP until all fees ($30 SCRIP charge plus $10 TVGA charge) and the value of your order, are paid in cash or money order (TVGA will not accept a check).

Please make sure your friends and family who are ordering SCRIP are aware of these
payment policies and fees.

SCRIP Reload Option

ShopWithScrip offers you the opportunity to “reload” funds onto certain gift cards you already possess and you still earn SCRIP credit for your TVGA account.  This is particularly useful if your friends order the same SCRIP with you on a regular basis.  However reload is only available on select gift cards. Please note:  when using the reload option, reload cards are the only items you can have in the order if you want the cards to be immediately activated.  Otherwise they will not be activated until the entire TVGA purchase order has been placed and processed, which happens on a weekly basis (see below).

CHARGES

1% of your total order value will be retained by TVGA to cover shipping charges and other expenses related to the administration of this program. For example, if you order $100 of Albertson’s which has a 4% rebate ($4.00), the amount retained by TVGA is 1% of the $100 ($1.00). When we had the SCRIP store, the Albertson’s rebate amount was 3%, so in this case, the end result is the same as in the past.

 SCRIP order cycle

You may shop online anytime, placing items into your shopping cart.  Once you checkout and make payment through Presto-Pay, the order will stay in the system until I release the order.  This will be done on a weekly basis.  On Sunday evenings, after 8 pm, I will release all paid family orders into a single purchase order for TVGA.  After I receive the SCRIP, the cards will be sorted in preparation for pick-up.

SCRIP Pick Up Policy

As in the past, you or the person you designate to pick up your SCRIP will need to count the SCRIP and sign that they’ve counted and received the SCRIP.  Once SCRIP has been signed for, we are no longer liable for it, so if you designate someone else to pick it up, please make sure that person and you are clear about the process.

We will not leave SCRIP in any folders, as it is not safe.

In the event of a SCRIP shipment delay, due to weather or other circumstances, you will be notified by email.

Purchase Receipt

At pickup, you will receive a receipt for your order, which lists each product purchased with the rebate % and value.  Please note that the receipt, which is generated by the ShopWithScrip system, does not indicate the 1% which TVGA retains.

SCRIP Pick Up Days

Thursdays 3:45 – 5:00

Fridays 5:00 – 6:00

This is subject to change as we work on getting the system running smoothly.  You will be notified by
email if there are any changes.

STARTING DATE

All family orders placed by 8 pm, Sunday February 22nd will be available for pick-up on
Thursday February 26 and Friday February 27.

THANK YOU

Finally, I just want to say thank you in advance for your patience as we get this new process
in place and work out any problems.

If you have any problems, please contact me at MamaofEnS@yahoo.com.
