WORKOUT CHANGES FOR THE GIRLS TEAM DUE TO THE SAN DIEGO CLASSIC:
BABY SHOWER-Thank you to all the families that contributed to our baby shower. We were able to give Kira and Melissa each a substantial gift card and they were very appreciative!! We also sent them home with DIAPERS GALORE!!! They were so excited!! Kathy Bader did an awesome job on the baskets and they were filled with tons of great baby outfits and baby "things"!!! Thank you to Kathy Washington for decorating the viewing room and getting us the cake!! Thank you so much for making this a special event for Kira, Jon, Melissa and Adam.
OPTIONALS-please make sure you have 2 sets of grips broken in at all times. Also, make sure you have a copy of your music in your competition bag.
RHINESTONE SHIRTS-We are working on an order form for new SCEGA rhinestone shirts, sweatshirts, and thermal shirts. More info in the next couple days. There will be shirts in the boys team colors too!!! Let's all get SCEGA apparel for the upcoming state and regional meets.
Just a reminder about the Hope for Haiti shoe collection at SCEGA. Soles 4 Souls is sending new and gently used shoes of all sizes to Haiti and SCEGA has a collection box outside the office. So far we have collected close to 150 pairs of shoes. So, this is a good time to clean out your closet and help people who have lost everything. The deadline is January 31. Thank you!

SCRIP NEWS
As was announced at the general TVGA meeting, the scrip store is back. A limited supply of scrip will be on hand to purchase during our new scrip hours. The scrip available with their respective denominations are: Albertsons $100, Staters $100, Vons $100, Arco $50, Shell $50, Starbucks $10, and Walmart $25. Payment accepted will be cash or check. In addition, we encourage you to continue to order online to purchase scrip. The new scrip store hours, and pick-up times if you ordered online are:

New Locker assignments-girls
I have new locker assignments for all the girls from comp2 and above. All lockers must be cleaned out by Saturday after practice. If there are any lockers locked at that time I will be cutting them and then cleaning out there stuff myself. New locker assignments will be given out Friday and Saturday. They can start putting their stuff in the new lockers at the party this weekend.

"ADOPTED KIDS CHRISTMAS GIFTS"-Thank you to everyone who has brought in gifts for our adopted kids. The gifts were picked up on Saturday to start figuring out which gifts will go to each child. They will be given next weekend. If you would still like to bring in a gift, please bring the gift to Kathy Strate. I can continue to collect them until Thursday night. Also, if you don't have time to get a gift, they would also like to give grocery or Walmart gift cards to each family for Christmas dinner. Thank you again for all your help. We have truly helped to bless 30 children this Christmas!!!
Thank you to everyone who made cards and brought in goodies for the troops. I know they will really appreciate our support this holiday season.
PRIVATE LESSON AUCTION BIDS
Every year at this time we hold our private lesson auction which benefits our coaches camp travel fund. Our normal policy is that your gymnast can schedule private lessons only from the coaches that they work with in the gym. However, for this auction you may bid on any coach in the gym. Bids will close on friday Dec. 18th at 6pm. The bid sheets are posted in the team viewing room. Thank you to all the coaches for donating their time.
TEAM PARTY "A COUNTRY CHRISTMAS"
The party is this Saturday from 4:30-6:30pm. Come dressed in your cowboy/cowgirl, hillbilly or farm animal attire!!! Please bring $5 to help cover the activities. The following gymnasts will be our group leaders:

Yearbook Reminders
- Yearbook ads for all gymnasts are due Saturday, December 19. Please email your ad to Aimee Ward.
- Yearbook Compulsory Collage pictures
Don't forget to email pictures to Aimee Ward from your girl's level 4, 5, or 6 season. These pictures are due no later than December 19th.
- Yearbook accolades-please fill out attached form and return it to yearbook file no later than December 23rd.
- Yearbook proofs are in the viewing room from 1pm to 8pm starting Monday. Dale's order forms are inside the books. PROOFS ARE NOT TO BE REMOVED. If anyone needs pictures before Christmas, Dale would like you to call or email him and he will do his very best to complete the order.

Saturday, December 12 Workout
All groups will end at 12pm due to the Holiday Show. The Hopes group will workout at 8am instead of 8:45m for this Saturday only. There will be dance this Saturday.

Yearbook Ads
Yearbook ads are due Saturday, December 19th. No late ads will be accepted. Please see the attached flyer for specifications on producing your gymnast's ad. No money is due for your ad, as this has been included in your 09-10 assessments. If you have any questions, please email Aimee Ward.
Pockets on the Warm UPs
The pockets on the new warm up jackets for girls hang below the jacket line. Leah Moore has graciously offered to fix the pockets at no charge. If you are interested, please bring the jacket in to Leah. Thanks Leah!
Holiday cards for our troops
MaryKay Held has set up 4 boxes in the gym if you would like to send holiday wishes to the troops. There are 4 names of Marines at different camps in Afghanistan. I have the addresses for all as well. Their names are:

SCEGA NEWS 11-30-09
Congratulations to Ashley Stevenson who is headed to Michigan State University in 2011! Ashley has verbally committed to MSU's women's gymnastics team and will receive a full athletic scholarship. She plans on studying Sports Medicine.
Good luck to Annie Hilton, Rene Kum, and Rebecca Stone as they head to the TOPs National Training camp in Texas 12/2-12/6.

Temecula Holiday Parade
Due to the Temecula Parade on Friday we will have some changes:
Elite and E group-workout will end @5:45pm
All compulsory groups, C group and HOPES will have an open gym from 3:30-5:45pm.
Please be on time to pick up your child as our street will be closed at 6pm!!!!
Optional In-House
The In-house will begin at 9am, Saturday, December 5th. The girls will be told tomorrow if they are competing on any events and which country they will represent. The girls will be wearing the colors of their countries!!!
Team Christmas Party
We will be having a meeting to help plan the Christmas party tomorrow at the gym at 12pm. If you are interested in helping, please e-mail Kathy Strate. The team party will be Dec. 19th from 4:30-6:30pm.
Christmas Gifts for "Adopted Kids"
As the Holiday season approaches, SCEGA would like to extend an invitation for you and your family to help bless another family this year. SCEGA has teamed up with Temecula Dance Company and has "adopted" a bunch of children who could really use our kindness and generosity. This is of course an optional activity, but if it is placed upon your heart, please bring in a wrapped gift for a boy or girl. and we will collect them in the front office. We have adopted boys from ages 5-17 and 2 baby boys ages 10 months and 6 months. We have girls ages 5-17. Please put a sticky note attached to the gift with the item(clothes or toys), whether it is for a boy or girl, and the age appropriatness for the gift.
Last year we blessed many children that would not have had a holiday without us. Your donation is so appreciated,

Set up your Scrip Shop this week!
Have you been reluctant to sign up online for scrip since we stopped the scrip store? Well, worry no more. For one week only, the scrip committee will help you sign up right here at SCEGA. You can then buy scrip for the holidays.
We will help you set up your online account, and register with Presto Pay. Please bring your checkbook since it is linked directly to your checking account. However, signing up is free. Presto Pay will actually pay you a very small amount of money (about $0.25) for signing up.
If you have already signed up but need a little help getting started, please stop by and talk to one of us.

Team Christmas Party
The team Christmas party will be Saturday Dec.19th from 4:30-6:30pm. Team leaders will be notified in the next couple weeks.

Kathy Strate is selling tickets for her daughter's dance company for a "Pancake Breakfast with Santa" at Applebees on Sunday Dec.6th from 8am-10am. There will be small gifts from Santa and a photographer on hand. If you are interested please e-mail Kathy. Tickets are $10 per child. Thanks

SCRIP pick-up this week will be on Wednesday from 5:30-700pm only. There will be no scrip pick-up on Thursday due to Thanksgiving.

It's fast and easy. If you haven't already signed up and started ordering your scrip online, this will be your chance. We will help you get started so you can earn money toward your gymnast's TVGA account. There will be a scrip table set up in the viewing room next week to help you open your scrip account.
Now is a great time to order scrip for the holidays. Many of the companies that you may usually order are offering bonuses. For example, with Starbucks, instead of getting 7%, you will get 9%. Or, the Staples card is worth $105, but you only paid $100. However, due to the increased volume the scrip company receives during the month of December, there may be delays in shipping. If necessary, we will change the scrip hours and notify you if there are delays. Order scrip, and enjoy your shopping and gift giving.

USED LEOTARD SALE
Hello Parents,
We need any used leotard(s) that you wish to donate. The proceeds are going towards the Cal Classic Fundraising Committee to purchase high quality raffle ticket items.

Attention all level 4, 5 and 6 parents: I really need your pictures from the season. The pictures are for the banquet video. The pictures can be group pictures at the meets, before and after meets and other fun outings the groups may have done together. Also, you can send some video as well as bloopers if anyone has some. I would really like to start putting this video together and I have hardly any of the level 4 girls and a limited amount of the 5's. So please send the pictures either by email or put it on a disc or even on a memory card that I will return to you as soon as I can. Just put it in Donata Martin's file with your name on it or email me. If you have any questions please feel free to email.

WARM UP Option
Gymnasts have an option of adding rhinestones to their warm ups. Rhinestones can be added on the back of the warm up jacket on top of the word SCEGA. In addition, rhinestones can be added to the stripe on the sleeve , the stripes on the front of the jacket and the stripes on the pants.
Adding the rhinestones to the jacket will cost $35, adding the rhinestones to the stripes on the pants is $15. A woman named Jayme Shanks is handling this. If you are interested, please contact her directly. Please do NOT pay TVGA.

A Special Thank You
I just wanted to thank all the gymnasts that brought in half of their Halloween candy to send to the troops. My nephew, Austan Flener along with Susie his military dog, are now in Afghanistan. Attached please find a picture of my nephew so that everyone could put a face with the name.
Austan will be happy to receive all of this candy and he will definitely share with his entire Unit 3/4. A picture of Austan is attached.
